Thank You For Your Interest In Volunteering at Stafford Public Schools!
Volunteers assist our schools in a variety of ways and positively impact the educational experience of our students.
For the health and safety of our staff and students, volunteers are required to complete a brief online application each school year. The application process includes a background check conducted by Raptor.
Note: All SPS visitors and volunteers (including those who’ve had their ID scanned in Raptor in the past) will be required to bring their drivers license or state ID when visiting a school building.

If you were already approved for 2025-2026, you do NOT have to re-apply until Fall 2026.
If you were approved for Group 1 (supervised volunteer) and you would like Group 2 (enhanced clearance) you WILL need to request that your existing approval be removed by contacting synnottk@stafford.k12.ct.us or your student’s school for more information.
Please see the Board of Education 1000 Policy: SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS, STUDENT INTERNS AND OTHER NON-EMPLOYEES for more information
