Strategic Educational Framework (SEF)
On September 23, 2019, the Stafford Board of Education approved the Strategic Educational Framework (SEF).
This framework provided the district with an overall vision to inform decision making for district improvement
and identified three main goals for school improvement: Organizational Health; Curriculum, Instruction, and
Assessment; and Continuous Learning for All. Each goal area was broken down into strategic imperatives, which
were further broken down into three year-long, long-term strategies. The 2021-2022 school year is the third
and final year of those long-term strategies. Since the inception of the SEF, the district has maintained a focus
on what is aligned with those strategies, such as, the creation, development, and implementation of the Portrait
of the Graduate framework to communicate the skills and dispositions our schools emphasize in the preparation
of life-long, college and career-ready learners.
While the year is not over, the district is beginning the process of developing the next long-range plan for 2022-
2025. It is imperative that the district involve the input of
our entire community. To do so, we plan to utilize survey instruments and feedback sessions, held both in-person and virtually. Below is a table of key dates for your planning purposes. All information will be sent
through the School Messenger Communication System. Please check your email on, or about, January 10, 2022,
for next steps.
